Car shopping is no small task. It involves lots of research, which often leads you to compare and contrast several models to find the one that’s best for you. Here at Scott Mazda, we’ve got a great selection of models, including the exceptional 2021 Mazda6. So, we’re put the Mazda6 against the Chevrolet Malibu to make the process as easy as possible.
Mazda6 vs. Chevy Malibu
When it comes to looks, we obviously favor the Mazda6. While both cars are sleek, we find that this Mazda model has just a bit more of a bold and upscale look. The Chevy Malibu opts for a slightly more traditional style.
When it comes to options, the Mazda6 comes in six trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, Carbon Edition, and Signature, which is new for 2021. Meanwhile, the Malibu only offers five trim levels: L, LS, RS, LT, and Premiere, leaving shoppers with fewer options.
Both models offer two engines. However, again, the Mazda6 wins out with its possibilities of either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque or a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that makes 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
Finally, when it comes to safety, the Mazda6 is really your best option. The Chevy Malibu doesn’t come standard with any advanced safety features while the Mazda6 includes many, such as automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and more.
Overall Rating
Overall, we highly recommend the 2021 Mazda6 over the Chevrolet Malibu for a number of reasons. However, chief among those is the style, safety, and overall driving experience. To test drive the Mazda6 yourself and see what we’re talking about, visit Scott Mazda today.
