If you’re searching for a Mazda car for sale, we invite you to look through our new car inventory. When you do, you’ll see the latest Mazda models, including the 2019 Mazda3. Revamped for the 2019 model year, the all-new Mazda3 is already known for carrying on the car’s long-standing reputation for being a blast to drive.

Just like the 2019 Mazda3 is a Mazda vehicle that’s widely recognized for being fun to operate, the automobile is quickly becoming known as a safe vehicle in both sedan and hatchback form. That’s because the 2019 Mazda3 earned the rating of Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in both of its body styles.

The TSP safety rating is the second highest score the IIHS gives out. When an automobile earns the TSP rating, it means it’s considered to be one of the safest cars in its automotive class.

To earn the mark of TSP from the IIHS, a vehicle must earn the score of good in several crashworthiness tests. The same car must also earn the score of acceptable or good in the passenger-side small overlap front test. The automobile has to earn the rank of advanced or superior for its front crash prevention system, too. Finally, the car must earn the score of acceptable or good for its headlights as well.

As you might remember from a recent blog post, the 2019 Mazda3 isn’t the only Mazda vehicle at our Mazda dealership near Lehigh Valley, PA that earned high marks from the IIHS. The 2019 Mazda CX-3 and the 2019 Mazda CX-9 were also awarded the TSP safety rating while the 2019 Mazda CX-5 earned the rank of TSP+.

We’re thrilled that so many Mazda models are heralded for being safe, and we encourage you to learn more about all of them by visiting Scott Mazda today.

*Award applies only to vehicles with optional front crash prevention. See IIHS.org for more information.
